Peach–Potato Aphid Myzus persicae: Current Management Strategies, Challenges, and Proposed Solutions

چکیده

The peach–potato aphid, Myzus persicae (Sulzer), is one of the most important pests economic crops. It damages plant directly by consuming nutrients and water indirectly transmitting viruses. This pest has unenviable title having resistance to more insecticides than any other herbivorous insect pest. Due development its chemical pesticides, it necessary find control options. Consequently, increased efforts worldwide have been undertaken develop new management approaches for M. persicae. In this review, we highlight problems associated with importance, current approaches. review also describes challenges their potential solutions, special focus given evolution insecticidal sustainable strategies, such as biocontrol agents, entomopathogens, use natural plant-derived compounds, cultural methods. Furthermore, provides some successful from above eco-friendly strategies that show high efficacy against

Myzus persicae Sulzer aphid contains oxylipins that

Oxylipins are oxygenated fatty acids and their derivatives that play key roles in response to stress. They are widespread in many organisms including mammals or plants but are unknown in arthropods. In this study, we identified oxylipins in Myzys persicae Sulzer aphids reared on Vicia faba L. plants. Further experiments based on: (i) Radiolabelled substrate incubation with aphid extracts, and (...

A Functional Genomics Approach Identifies Candidate Effectors from the Aphid Species Myzus persicae (Green Peach Aphid)

Aphids are amongst the most devastating sap-feeding insects of plants. Like most plant parasites, aphids require intimate associations with their host plants to gain access to nutrients. Aphid feeding induces responses such as clogging of phloem sieve elements and callose formation, which are suppressed by unknown molecules, probably proteins, in aphid saliva. Therefore, it is likely that aphid...

Insecticide Resistance Mechanisms in the Green Peach Aphid Myzus persicae (Hemiptera: Aphididae) II: Costs and Benefits

BACKGROUND Among herbivorous insects that have exploited agro-ecosystems, the peach-potato aphid, Myzus persicae, is recognized as one of the most important agricultural pests worldwide. Uses over 400 plant species and has evolved different insecticides resistance mechanisms. As M. persicae feeds upon a huge diversity of hosts, it has been exposed to a wide variety of plant allelochemicals, whi...

Transcriptome Analysis of Green Peach Aphid (Myzus persicae): Insight into Developmental Regulation and Inter-Species Divergence

Green peach aphid (Myzus persicae) and pea aphid (Acyrthosiphon pisum) are two phylogenetically closely related agricultural pests. While pea aphid is restricted to Fabaceae, green peach aphid feeds on hundreds of plant species from more than 40 families. Transcriptome comparison could shed light on the genetic factors underlying the difference in host range between the two species. Furthermore...

Methylation and expression of amplified esterase genes in the aphid Myzus persicae (Sulzer).

Most populations of the aphid Myzus persicae have amplified genes (up to 80 copies) encoding the insecticide-detoxifying esterase E4. This paper reports the analysis of methylation of the E4 gene and its flanking DNA with the use of methylation-sensitive restriction enzymes, CpG profiling and bisulphite sequencing. In combination these show that E4 has 5-methylcytosine confined to CpG doublets,...
